About Marianne Loyd:
Marianne Loyd was born in
Norway and as a child she went to ballet and art school and started to
write poetry at age 11. Many years ago she came across a Teddy Bear
Fair and became so fascinated
that she decided to make teddy bears herself in her spare time. As an
animal friend and vegan she only makes teddy bears from fake fur --
having a deep concern for animals' well
being and rights, which she feels is a very
neglected issue.

She has now been making teddy bears for ten years,
making them only in a limited number or one-of-a-kind. One of her signature marks is the heart on the belly
and the use of beads and sequins. She handcrafts each bear and places
great emphasis to every detail. Each bear has its own personality with
heart and soul. Every bear is made with TLC and comes with a
certificate of authenticity.
